As I mentioned earlier, I had a very special event planned during our road trip- a blate (blogger date). I was SO excited to finally meet Megan! We have been reading each other's blogs for a while now and knew we had so much in common. Turns out you really can know someone by reading their blog- because Megan and I absolutely hit it off! We talked the entire time and kept finding out how similar we really are.
We laughed about how our husbands asked us both on more than one occasion, "are you sure you're okay with her if I'm not there?" It turned out that neither of us was a 45 year old man, so we felt pretty safe :) She also gave me the confidence to finally start a blog series that I have been considering...I still think it may be dumb, but I'm going to try it out soon!
This blog date was special because it was actually a sleepover! Megan was sweet enough to let us stay at her house, so we had a girls' night while our pups played. Doug and Pep actually got a hotel room so Pep wouldn't be freaked out by the 4 huge dogs running around. But our dogs LOVED each other!

Megan and I were so sad to say goodbye to one another! We are so bummed that we now live even further apart, but we've already started talking about our next meet up! I think this says it all about the blogging community and what wonderful friendships you can make through it! Meg, I had such a great time! We'll have to get you and Justin out to California now! :)
