Safari Park Blate

Doug and I recently met up with Katie, from Katie Lately, and her hubby Zach! Katie and I found each other last year and realized that her husband is from my hometown (and went to the same high school as my mom!) We immediately hit it off and eventually met at a meet-up in February. Since then, we've been talking about a double date at the Safari Park in San Diego! We finally made it happen and had the best time!

You can barely see him, but there was the most precious baby gorilla there. He was tiny!

One thing that I find hilarious...Doug seems to be under the impression that all blog friends are weird. But after he has met every single one of them (and their husbands)? He always acts surprised at how great and normal they are. It just makes me laugh and say "See! Bloggers are awesome!"

Katie and Zach, you are no exception to this...we absolutely loved hanging out with y'all! And I cannot wait to see sweet baby Bennett! :)

Cincinnati Blogger Meet Up!

Last weekend, Doug and I met up with my family in Cincinnati for a family reunion. And it just so happens that some of my favorite blog friends also live in Cincinnati. We had one of the best meet-ups of all time! 

I had the pleasure of meeting Brittany of Blogging Out Loud, Emma of Legally Lovely, and Allison from Nestful of Love. Allison is a such a sweetheart and we absolutely hit it off! Brittany and Emma were actually my first blog friends, so it was amazing that we finally got to meet after 2 years! I couldn't have loved them any more.

After the game, we enjoyed some Graeter's, which is by far the best ice cream I've ever had. I may have had it 4 times in 3 days :)

We really had a perfect night- great company, winning game, delicious food, and beautiful weather. Girls, I had the best time meeting y'all and hope that it's not another 2 years before we can see each other again!

Well, Brittany and I certainly couldn't go long without seeing each other again....Doug and I met up with her and her friends at a brewery on Saturday night, and I really don't know the last time I laughed that hard! Not only do I love Brittany, but all of her sweet and hilarious friends, too! Jenn, I wasn't kidding when I said you should start your own blog. I need that humor on a daily basis! 

This just goes to show how incredible the blog world is! 

Take 3

This is a little recap of my third, yes third, SoCal Meet-Up! Obsessed much!?

There were over 60 bloggers at this one! The hosts did such an amazing job. They even had a raffle prize for each person! I won this print of San Diego's beach towns. But then I met this adorable surfer girl, Devon, and knew that this print was meant for her!

After the meet-up, we walked down to the beach to see some adorable seals. They did not disappoint.

Doggie Blate

This weekend was ah-mazing! I went to the SoCal Blogger Meet Up on Saturday (that post is coming soon!) then we had a few people over on Sunday for the Super Bowl! Our college friends, Jeremy and Emily, joined us as well as Jonathan and Ashley from Adventures of Newlyweds! And of course, their precious baby Bella!

I love that this is Maisy's second doggie blate! (She met Megan's dogs back in August)

Bella was pretty nervous at first- this was her first time around a big dog. But Maisy was very patient and sweet while Bella warmed up to her!

As soon as we brought them in the backyard, they were instant friends and chased each other all over! It was precious :)

It was definitely a successful blate- for the dogs and for us :) Ashley and I actually went to the meet up together the day before....needless to say, we hit it off! Have I mentioned how much I love blogging? It brings the best people into my life!
