A Big Life Update: Just Kidding!

Remember that big update I shared with y'all yesterday? The one where we were moving to Phoenix in 6 days? Well, just a few hours after I posted it, we found out from Doug's company that our plans were changing once again.

That's right. We aren't moving to Phoenix. We're actually staying here. I can't go into details yet, but Doug's company decided it was best for us to be in Orange County. But we still have to be out of our house in 5 days because our landlords already rented the house out. So I had to cancel on our apartment in Phoenix and have been scrambling around all day trying to find something here. We're still keeping our stuff in storage until we find something more permanent here, so we'll do a furnished apartment for now...if I can ever find one without a weight limit for dogs!!!

Today has definitely been one of the most stressful days of my life. (Are y'all tired of listening to me complain? Because I'm sure tired of it!) This news was both good and bad, I guess. It made some things easier, but also complicated a lot, like the fact that we have no idea where we will live in 5 days. Plus I'm really, really sad we had to give up our house when we didn't need to, just because of the timing of it all. But in the long run, I am happy to be staying here. We both love it and are glad to extend our stay. Plus we can continue our laser tag membership :) It's a win-win, I guess!

PS- HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my sweet parents! I love you both and miss you so much!!

A Big Life Update

I can finally share a little more about what's going on with us! We found out a few weeks ago that Doug's company wanted to move us to Puerto Rico, so that's why we were there last week. We ultimately decided that it wasn't the right place for us, but I really enjoyed looking at houses while we were there- I felt like I was on House Hunters International!

Since we turned it down, we're now being moved to Phoenix, AZ. In 6 days. So I have been stressing and packing and trying to soak up all of the California goodness in these last few days. I am really going to miss this place.

We don't know how long we'll be in Phoenix. It could be as short as a couple months, or it could be longer. We're living in a teeny tiny furnished apartment with all of our stuff in storage, so this will definitely be an adjustment since I've been spoiled with this beautiful house here. And I know that Maisy will miss her big backyard!

In other random news, remember a few months ago when I mentioned Doug and I went to the final challenge taping for Bachelor Pad 3? Well, it aired last night! If any of you watched it, you know how hilarious, horrible, and entertaining it was. This season is kind of hard to watch sometimes, especially because I feel so bad for Rachel. And apparently it only gets worse for her next week. What do y'all think of this season?

I had tickets to the finale taping but of course, it was the weekend we went to Puerto Rico. I have got to stop going out on town when they tape these things!! It's so frustrating!

I don't think I know anyone in Phoenix...do I have any readers who live in the area?

Dove Conditioner Review

I have a confession (that is pretty obvious and most of you probably already know). I am not a true blonde. I have boring, dirty blonde/light brown hair that basically forces me to get hilites every 2 months. And because my hair is extra thick and curly, the straightening iron is my daily go-to. This means I have to go to extra lengths to keep my hair soft and healthy. Not to mention, the struggle of keeping the ever-present frizz away! Which is no small task when I'm in Atlanta :) And I found just the product to help me with this.

Dove sent me their Daily Moisture Conditioner, and even after just one use, I was sold. When I applied the conditioner on my hair in the shower, a little bit went a long way so this one bottle will last me for a very long time. As I was rinsing it out, my hair felt SO smooth that I worried I hadn't gotten all of the conditioner out! I could tell a difference immediately in how smooth and soft my hair was. I let my hair air dry and I was stunned that just using a different conditioner could reduce the amount of frizz in my hair. And after a few uses, I started to notice that my hair was getting back its shine. As an added bonus, the smell is so good- Doug even commented on how good my hair smelled after I started using this conditioner! I've only used this product for the past few weeks...I can't imagine how great my hair will feel after months of use!
This is me, I was just leaning down to pet Maisy when Doug snapped this picture :)
