Glory, Glory

While in Atlanta for Thanksgiving, we ventured back to our beloved Athens to watch the Dawgs play. We caught the basketball game on Friday night, and then had the pleasure of watching Georgia whoop Tech on Saturday.

I also got to catch up with my sweet roomie from college, Lesley Anne! I miss LA and her husband Kyle so much...we had the best double dates throughout college!

Our bulldogs had a heckuva season this year. The SEC Championship was an incredibly well-played game by both teams, and even though I was sad devastated about the ending, it's still great to be a Georgia Bulldog! (I think even 'devastated' is an understatement...Doug and I were depressed for days after that game. If only there had been 5 more seconds on that clock...I need to stop thinking about it or I'll just get sad all over again!)

Football is BACK!

That's right ladies, College Football is BACK!!!!! This is absolutely my favorite time of year. I can't get enough!

Wednesday Ramblings

First up, a weekend recap! On Saturday, we went with our Georgia friends Jeremy and Emily to the UGA vs. USC basketball game. It was 'UGA Day' and we went to the Alumni reception at the amazing Town and Gown. And UGA won the game, so it was a great night!

On Sunday, I drove up to LA for the Blogger Brunch my friend, Joelle, hosted! We went to Taste on Melrose in West Hollywood, and it was delicious!

-I ADORE this new polish- Glitzerland by OPI. Have I mentioned how much I love glitter at Christmas time?

-Notice anything different around here? I got my first professional blog design and I couldn't be happier! I chose Smitten Blog Designs and Jacquelinne knew exactly what I was looking for.

-Doug and I saw New Year's Eve last week and I loved it! My favorite storyline was the Zac Efron one....so cute. I've heard mixed reviews about it, but I thought it was a happy chick flick that I'd love to see again.

-Our neighbors are petsitting for us again since we're going to Mississippi tomorrow to spend Christmas with Doug's family. To set up this story, you must know that this is their house:

So one of their boys came over yesterday...this was our conversation:
boy: I like your Christmas tree.
me: Thank you!
boy: Are the icicle lights the only outdoor lights you have?
me: Yup...we're kind of amateurs.
boy: Well my dad has some extra lights if you want to use them.

I thought that was SO adorable! It was his nice way of telling me our house looks boring! :)

-And lastly, Maisy has been sporting a new look.

The fur just kills me! They also had matching boots but Doug drew the line there. It's a shame, because Maisy's #1 on her Christmas list was 'boots with the furrrr"

Weekend Recap

This weekend may have been my favorite in California so far. Our Georgia friends, Jeremy and Emily, came over for another UGA game on Saturday. Again, Maisy welcomed them into our home by standing on them.

Georgia was AMAZING and beat Auburn 45-7! After last year's dirty-played game by Auburn, it was so fun to crush them this year! GO DAWGS! If we beat Kentucky this weekend, we're headed to the SEC Championship! 

After the game, we tried out our new fire pit in the backyard. 

We drank coffee and beer and made s'mores.

And we brought out the computer to watch even more football....what Saturdays in the fall are made for.

It was a perfect day.

On Sunday, I drove down to San Diego for another SoCal Blogger Meet-up! It was AMAZING and I want to dedicate a whole post to it, once the photographer (yeah...that's how legit it was...there was a photographer!) posts her pictures of it, because they will be a lot better than my iPhone pics.

Monday Ramblings

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Ours was a little more relaxed and we needed it. 

On Saturday, our friends from Georgia came over! Jeremy was Doug's roommate in college and he's now in the Navy stationed in San Diego with his wife, Emily. We were SO happy to see some familiar Georgia faces! 

Maisy loved having company and greeted them by standing on them. 

We were SO HAPPY that UGA beat Florida! GO DAWGS! 

Later that night, I finally got around to drilling my second pumpkin. I decided to do polka-dots for this and loved how it turned out. And after gutting it, it literally took 5 minutes. So easy!

Other things:

-I bought my Breaking Dawn tickets a couple weeks ago......SO. EXCITED. I'm going home to Atlanta a few days early for Thanksgiving so my mom and I can go to the midnight show together!

-Allison, Sarah, and Amanda gave me the Liebster Blog award! Thank y'all so much!!

-I just started watching How I Met Your Mother and I kind of love it. I've only been watching reruns, since they come on every channel pretty much all the time, so I have no idea what's happening when. But my favorite so far of Ted's girlfriends is Victoria. I'm hoping she comes back. And Robin kind of annoys me. But Lily and Marshall are ADORABLE! 

-We are so excited for Halloween tonight! This is our first time living in a neighborhood for it, so I hope we get lots of trick-or-treaters! We definitely bought enough candy for the whole neighborhood.
