I'm back! I can't believe it's been a week since I posted. When I'm not feeling good, I don't like to blog because I know my posts will be all mopey and depressing. But apart from the constant sore throat, I'm feeling better! Thanks for all the sweet thoughts and comments last week!
We had a great Mother's Day weekend spending lots of time with both of our families. I don't think there is anything I'd rather do then go to Marietta and hang out with our family...it just makes me happy! Of course we brought the fur babies and they always have a blast, too :) I didn't take any pictures of humans (blog fail) but I have lots of pictures of the pets that I'll share later. Here are a couple favorites from the weekend....Pep and Maisy are really starting to love each other! This was on the way back to Decatur. They are really the best traveling pets I've ever seen...perfect car manners!
Pepper LOVES car rides...he loves sitting on your lap and looking out the window. I love how he is sitting like a little person in this picture :) Melts my heart!
Since yesterday was Mother's Day, I just have to brag on my mom. She is my best friend in the world, and I am so blessed to have her in my life. She is the kindest, sweetest person I know, and we always have SO much fun together. Our girl weekends are my favorite, and we usually spend the entire time laughing until we cry. I find myself sounding more and more like her, and (most of the time :) that makes me happy. I inherited her great love for animals, bubbly demeanor, and her pretty blue eyes! When we're together, we seem to always say the same things at the same time. And we are undefeated at playing Catch Phrase/Taboo together since we can say one word and know what the other's thinking! I know that I'm turning into her more and more, and if I can be half the mother that she was to me and Matt, I'll be so thankful!
(last year on her birthday)
I also need to brag on my mother-in-law! I am a lucky girl that I not only have an awesome mom, but a wonderful MIL! I see her not as Doug's mom, but as a friend and someone I can always talk to and have a great time with. We also have so much in common, and I know how blessed I am that I have 2 families that I really love to be around!
We also saw Something Borrowed this weekend and I looooooved it! It's been at least 2 years since I read the book, so I don't remember a lot of the details, but from what I remember it seemed very true to the book. I thought every actor nailed their role, especially the two leading ladies. (Speaking of, how adorable is Ginnifer Goodwin?) Now I want to read the series all over again!
Happy (late) Mother's Day to all the wonderful mommas out there!
